Use Decorative Trays

• Trays add organization and balance to decor items. The tray provides and anchor for grouping items. 
• Odd numbers usually works best and three is a good number
• Vary heights of the objects
• One tall item like a lantern with candle, one medium items like a green topiary ball or a plant, and one interesting decor object, like the marble star seen in the video.
• Use different textures and materials. The objects look better if they are different materials than the tray
• Make sure the tray is the right size for the space

MIRRORS make a space feel brighter and larger.

• Keep in mind what will be reflecting across from it. If you place a mirror across from a window, it will bring in even more beautiful natural light. Mirrors create the illusion of depth of space and make the room appear bigger. Try leaning a large mirror in a bedroom or hallway.
• The type of frame you choose creates the style, for example a wood framed vs. a beveled mirror.
• A mirror is a classic decorating piece that will always be in style and creates a simple focal point for the room, or dramatic, depending on your mirror.
